Operations Director – Pilot Facility Manufacturing & Production

Responsibilities

Supports the PTX/Terrion Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and leads all day-to-day pilot operations, including equipment startup, shift management, production planning, process monitoring, and maintenance coordination; ensures safe, reliable, and consistent execution of modified-carbon, REE recovery, graphite powder/block, and graphene production circuits; implements standard operating procedures, operator training, facility readiness, and throughput optimization; coordinates closely with other teams (to be hired in the future) to maintain product quality and operational data integrity.

Experience / Capabilities

Extensive hands-on background in materials manufacturing or industrial plant operations, including supervision of technicians/operators and oversight of multi-step process lines; strong proficiency in facility operations, equipment troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, material flow control, and quality/safety compliance; demonstrated ability to manage shop-floor execution, implement operational best practices, and coordinate production around commissioning, testing, and scale-up activities.

Years of Experience

10+ years in manufacturing, industrial operations, or process-plant supervisory roles; 5+ years as a foreman, operations supervisor, or shift lead.

Education Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable for senior foreman-level candidates; safety certifications (OSHA 30, etc.) preferred.
